Certification of Kentaur GmbHKentaur places great value on optimum manufacturing processes and environment protection, which is borne out by the large number of certificates that have been awarded to the company.
Organic certificate (Institute for Market Ecology)
The Institute for Market Ecology certifies that Kentaur processes and/or distributes products from organic cultivation according to the Swiss Bio Regulations and Regulation (EWG) No. 2092/91.
BRC Global Standard - Food (efsis)
The standard of the English European Food Safety Inspection Service is equivalent to the BRC Standard, but contains a few additional requirements, such as the existence of a quality management system, the use of HACCP and the involvement of the environment, the product and the employees in this system.
IFS Certificate (efsis)
The European Food Safety Inspection Service certifies that Kentaur AG meets the requirements of the International Food Standard (IFS) at a higher level (category: snacks and breakfast cereals).
Knospe Label (Bio Suisse)
Kentaur AG is a licensee of Bio Suisse for a number of cereals, mill products and foodstuffs. This entitles us to use the registered trademark “Knospe” for the certified products.
Kosher certificate
The Council of Rabbis of the Israelite Community of Basel has certified many Kentaur products as kosher.
Voluntary climate protection
The "energy agency for the economy" has awarded Kentaur the certificate "Klimaschutz aus Überzeugung" ("Climate Protection through Conviction“) for the company’s efforts to protect the environment. For us, it is of prime importance to make an active contribution to reduce CO2 emissions and to optimise energy efficiency.
